Specialty Glass Refractor Globes for Rodeo Drive Light Fixtures

Jeannette Specialty Glass's patented Post-top Refractor also known as
Rodeo Drive (Patent Number 422,111), is a luminaire available in type V or
type III light distributions in accordance with illuminating engineering
specifications. The light output from the glass refractor remains constant
through the years in the outdoor atmosphere with extreme elements, where
polycarbonate and plastic-type light fixtures are decreasing in popularity
because of the damage caused by UV rays from the sun

Jeannette Specialty Glass's prismatic Rodeo Drive globe is composed of
two parts, bonded together, and made of heat resistant, borosilicate glass.
The properties of the borosilicate glass that is used to make JSG's patented
Rodeo Drive makes it a desirable choice in the lighting industry for a
couple of reasons. Borosilicate glass is resistant to UV light from the
sun. Therefore, it will not yellow or fade the glass like a polycarbonate
acorn globe. Additionally, the heat resistant properties in borosilicate
glass allow the lamp usage to be as high as 400 watt mercury-vapor without
any thermal shock damage.
The Rodeo Drive comes with an optional cast aluminum base that can be used
as an adaptor for replacing polycarbonate globes. Decorative colors can be
used on the top refractor as well as poles and pods without decreasing the
light efficiency. The Rodeo Drive is perfect for municipal streets,
residential developments, campuses, parks, parking lots and plazas. It can
be used as a street light (type III light distribution) directing the light
down the street in both directions or a parking lot light (type V light
distribution) directing the light downward and in 360 degrees.

Jeannette Specialty Glass's Rodeo Drive has been available to the
Department of Transportation and Lighting Companies since 2000 but now can
be purchased as replacements for polycarbonate or as a specified design by
Power Engineers, Architects, Utilities, Electrical Contractors, or
Planners.
