Our History
Jeannette
Shade & Novelty, Jeannette Specialty Glass's parent
company was founded in 1904. We are a corporation with a long
history in the heart of America's glass making region.
A century of excellence has earned JSG a reputation for
manufacturing the highest grade of commercial and industrial
glass products. In 1976, Jeannette Specialty Glass began to
specialize in the uses of borosilicate glass, an engineered
glass durable enough to withstand a variety of mechanical,
chemical, and thermal shocks.
In time, Jeannette Specialty Glass perfected its own
formulation, known as "Hard Roc" glass, which we continue to
manufacture to this very day. While many glass
manufacturers offer reflector and refractor lenses, commercial
glass and industrial mold work, no one can replicate the Clear
Colorless Glass (not green) produced by JSG and our attention to
quality control standards.

We think that "Made in the U.S.A." is a source of national
pride and is becoming more so every day. All Jeannette Specialty
Glass' products are made in our factory in Jeannette,
Pennsylvania. Founded in the heart of America's premier glass
making region in 1904, Jeannette Specialty Glass has earned a
reputation for manufacturing the highest quality commercial and
industrial glass products.
Jeannette
Specialty Glass's sister company,
JSG Oceana
Glass Designs,
has found success producing highly sought-after bathroom &
kitchen sinks and is the only manufacturing facility that is
IAPMO approved & UPC/CUPC certified for their glass kitchen
sinks. These products, in addition to their dinnerware
pieces combine artful styling, elegance, and heirloom quality
into a variety of amazing pieces.
Strength and Durability
Our industrial glass lighting products meet the highest
quality standards in the lighting industry. We manufacture all
of our products to be thermal shock, scratch, stain, and
chemical resistant.

the capacity for large production runs as well as the master
craftsman and experienced glass technicians to handle any
